Scott Perdue
Scott grew up in San Antonio, Texas and went to Alamo Heights High School, he was a Mule... how's that for a start. Joining the US Marine Corps out of High School, he just missed the Vietnam War. Starting out as a grunt Scott cross-trained as a computer programmer thinking that would keep his feet dry... didn't work. While completing his BS degree in Physics from the University of Texas he attended the Marine Corps' Platoon Leaders Course seeking an officer's commission in his quest to become a Marine pilot. After eight years of active and reserve duty he jumped ship for the US Air Force when HQMC took away his pilot slot.
In the Air Force Scott trained as a Pilot at Sheppard AFB, in the Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program (ENJJPT). After graduation he was a Cold Warrior flying RF-4Cs at Bergstrom AFB, Texas and Zweibrucken AB, Germany. As a career broadening assignment he served as an Air Liaison Officer in Germany, where he fought with the Syrian 9th Armored Division during Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm and the brave warriors of 5th Special Forces Group. Somewhere along the way he garnered the nickname of Gunny... probably because he was a Sergeant of Marines... nothing to do with a Gung Ho attitude or anything. His next assignment was to fly the F-15E Strike Eagle at RAF Lakenheath. Flying with the 492d and 494th Squadrons he participated in the pseudo wars over Iraq and Bosnia.

Jim Terry
A graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, Class of 1978, was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF and was assigned to the Minuteman Missile System as an Operations Officer in October of that year. He went on to earn an MBA in 1984 and retired as a Major in the B2 Bomber program in 1995. Following retirement from the USAF, Jim and a partner founded Terry and Sons pipe and steel in Cleburne, Texas. In ten years he grew it into the largest steel supplier in the area. As if by destiny, within weeks of the selling the steel company, Jim found a derelict B-25 in a junkyard in San Antonio, Texas. Nine months and a massive effort later the Pacific Prowler was reborn - this time to honor the Veterans that flew her in defense of our country all those years ago.
Jim's love of flying started when he was only 12. He soloed a Cessna 180 with a phone book under him and two behind him at age 13. From that point on, there was no looking back. He completed his private pilot rating while still in college and has accumulated thousands of hours and numerous ratings since that time.

Patrick Mahaffey
One of our pilots and licensed mechanics. Patrick grew up in a flying family. His dad was in the Army Air Corps in WWII, and his grandparents, aunts, and uncles were all pilots. The family ran a civilian pilot training school in South Carolina during WWII. Patrick started flying when he was 15.
"My dad had to drive me to my flying lessons, because I didn't have a drivers license yet," explains Patrick. He holds commercial, multi-engine, instrument, and certified flight instructor ratings. Additionally, he is type rated in the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and is also checked out in the PT-17, the AT-6 and of course, the B-25. Patrick has been working on warbirds for over 20 years, a certified master scuba diver, and a licensed pyrotechnician.

Jim's special interest in the B-25 and the men that flew them is personal- his uncle was a B-25 pilot in the Pacific. Jim spent many of his summers with this uncle, learning to fly and listening to the stories that inspired him to join the USAF, keep flying, and eventually own a B-25 of his own. "Everything I am is a direct result of the influence of my Uncle John," states Jim.
Today, Jim is one of the most experienced B-25 pilots in the world, flying the Prowler several times a week. Jim is also an A&P mechanic, he is not only highly experienced in flying the plane, he is highly experienced maintaining the plane - guaranteeing it stays in top condition - at all times.

Scott Perdue aka Gunny - Chief Instructor
From England he was assigned as an Formal Course Instructor Pilot at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Training new pilots to fly the F-15E Strike Eagle. He flew with all four squadrons of the 4th Fighter Wing. Scott also pulled a short stint as a Presidential Advance Agent for Air Force One, preparing for Presidential trips all over the United States, Europe and Central America. After retiring from the Air Force he was hired by a major airline where he flew the Boeing 727 and Fokker F-100 until he was furloughed (and later the B-757/767/737 when he went back to work). At that point he decided that a force bigger than himself was trying to tell him it was time to quit dreaming about it and write a book... what better time to start a new career when you get fired from the old one-- Check out "Pale Moon Rising"
He's a Certified Flight Instructor, A&P and qualified in the B-25, DC-3, Lockheed P-38, P-51 Mustang and L-39. He was on the TV show "Wings to Adventure" with Tom Gresham and did all the formation work for the filming flying aver 75 different airplanes from the Tigermoth to the Spirit of St Louis.
He lives on an airpark in north Texas with his wife, three daughters, something like two airplanes and a dog. Fortunately his wife has a real job. He's owned three V-tail Bonanzas, a Cessna 172, a C-150, an Extra 300L, a AT-6C and a Boeing PT-17 Stearman... an Oshkosh winner by the way.
